About
Pastaio worked with Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio to create a clean, fun looking 70 seat pasta restaurant in Carnaby, Soho, London. The terrazzo tabletops add to the informal dining experience, that makes a nod toward the Italian menu with the Pastaio on show.
The restaurant is a contemporary open space with a colourful large mural as a backdrop. The use of industrial materials complements the terrazzo surfaces and combined with the vivid mural the result is an exciting modern space. The atmosphere is further enhanced by a cracking blues & hip-hop playlist.
Our brief to DRS was to create a clean looking fun and original interior for a high volume low spend fresh pasta concept using more utilitarian materials. The result is fresh and cool and the vibe is great.
